What’s the deal with woman and toilet seats?
Discussion
As above.
I find it fascinating that if you don’t put the toilet seat down after doing your thing, the next time your Other half or any woman use the toilet they fall into it? What’s the deal with this as I just don’t get it? Do they never look? Or because the toilet seat is the same colour as the toilet, they can’t see it? What is it?
it’s funny anyway

it’s funny anyway I'm so old, I now sit down for a pee* anyway, so there's no problem.
Otherwise there's no telling which direction the main jet will head, plus it's nice to sit down for a rest.

* Well, except for first thing in the morning, when I have to do the old handstand thing.
As a poster above mentioned, the womenfolk never lift the the bog seat back up for their menfolk, do they? Surely that is just as inconsiderate?

The Germans encourage "sitzpinkler" in gender neutral (or Unisex as we used to call them) facilities, to the extent of a bell going off should you dare to lift the seat for a pee. Apparently sitting while urinating is good for your prostate (or is that just propaganda?)Otherwise there's no telling which direction the main jet will head, plus it's nice to sit down for a rest.

I was on mumsnet (I know, I know) where one of the posters complained that she hated putting the seat back down because it was dirty and disgusting. I did question why it was ok for a man to have to lift said dirty and disgusting seat up and down but not her.... for some reason she never replied

She has obviously never seen a factory shop floor loo lol. It’s usually a moan about not putting the seat down. Not a moan about not putting the lid down.
If you want a cleaner toilet, the lid should be down before you flush.
Of course then everyone has to lift something and put something down again, and that doesn’t seem to be satisfactory to the complainant(s).
If on the other hand you just want the crapper to be permanently ready for your use and have your other half do all that tedious, dirty, disgusting and demeaning lifting of the seat and putting it down again afterwards, so that you don’t have to, then that would maybe be pretty bloody self-centred…
