Share trading platform that's cheap to run and takes ACATS
Discussion
I'm using Barclays SmartInvestor and I don't do much trading, mainly just holding and taking dividends. They switched to a charging scheme a while back which means paying out every so often. (about £200 a year)
I looked at eToro and Freetrade but neither can take a direct transfer ACATS, so they expect you to sell all your shares and re-purchase them on thier platform. Surely that's going to lose a chunk due to spread and possibly result in a big capital gains bill?
Any other platforms worth looking at which I can transfer into and don't have ongoing fee's? Not worried and trading fees.
