Coming back to this car after some round the houses testing of various V12s
Cant really find much on YT from respected testers and wandering if anyone has any ideas on any other written / video reviews?
Pretty rare car by the looks of things so any owner opinions from owners on here would be very valued to, if you’d care to share them i’d appreciate it.

Had one since May as my first Aston and just love it, was taken as soon as I say it at the showroom great from every angle the S is a stunner. I reserved it the next day, the sound on start up can’t help but put a smile on your face or the sound of the engine with the roof down going along.
Positives are the ride, it is a true GT so very comfortable even at high speed with the hood down. Never cold ie the heating actually works unlike my previous Audi TTS. The handling is great and very responsive.
Negatives. Passenger seat has no height adjust so wife not 100% happy but does enjoy the drive. In common with most astons the apple CarPlay is a bit clunky but works.

I have had mine for just over 2 years now - brought it with 4.5k klms on the clock - now has 15k klms...
Cumberland grey with black interior and came with both AM 20" and Vossen 21" wheels - It was specified without the "Vanquish S" and "V12" badges - which I actually prefer.
It has a larini back box with a hidden switch for the full sound effect which is epic - have to admit I normally drive it with this off as its loud enough for normal use.
I have done a few road trips in it and although I could spend all day in it - the wife starts to get a bit uncomfortable after 4-5 hours...it also has enough boot space for the 2 of us.
No major hiccups... runs great - sounds fantastic and on a long trip it seems quite frugal for a big 6l V12 thanks to the high 8th gear.
Had a very minor problem with the fuel filler the first time I went to fill her up - this was sorted by AM - the catch needed a little tweak and all's well.
Also had a bit of the trim come loose which was sorted by AM works...
Care needs to be taken with the front splitter as it is quite low and will ground easily..
No question - she's a keeper.
Turns heads everywhere we go - I don't think I have ever stopped to fill her up without someone coming over and admiring it and asking questions

For me the looks are unquestionable, both cars look stunning, thanks 
4-5 hr comfort is borderline so we’ll have to see but i know it can be very body sensitive this one.
We have an S63 Cabriolet so comfort comparison is going to be a hard call for the Vanquish against this but we also have an AMG GTC roadster which we have done long trips in but nothing more than 4-5 hours and the vanquish will easily be better than this car, the S63 we did 9 hours in on sunday and it was incredible, as gimicky as people think massage seats are, when you’re at 6 hours in, they make a difference & the vanquish wont have these, but if it can sit somewhere between the two cars then it’ll be a winner for us.
Looks lovely, the Vossen wheels look very oem which i like, toyed with putting them on the S63 but went with turbine wheels in the end.
The valve addition is on top of the existing oen valved exhaust? I must admit, from videos it looks like the noise level from the standard exhaust would be enough for us but nice to have the choice on ‘those’ days i guess
I have the choice of a non S here with a quicksilver ‘Titan’ exhaust added which replicates the twin outlet see on the S, where they have change the rear bumper etc to suit, looks far better and complete vs standard vanquish imo and one of the reasons i like the S, which leads me to a question on the other differences between the S and std car…
Gearbox? both 8sp ZF (which i like) but the S is remapped? Speedshift 2 vs speedshidt 3, am i right, can the std cars gearbox be remapped to the S configuration?
Power difference i’m not so bothered about, splitter i ‘could’ add
Its not a cost thing, its absolutely about colour combo for me, i dont like black cars but REALLY cant stand black interiors and the available car is a lovely combo for me, about as dark as i’d like to go exterior wise though..

Hello again,
Height wise at 5’10” not a problem only if less than 5’4” for a clear view. I find the exhaust on my unmodified S plenty loud enough especially for the early morning starts.
The S does hold lower gears and have a more aggressive change, and of course you can also use the paddles if you want.
Enjoy which ever you get.

Hard to price vs the continnet, i know uk used pricing has gone through the roof recently but i think things are softening slightly now, especialy cabriolets.

That car is the only one that has been on the market in the last few months that I can see. 5 owners would put me off unless there is a very good story. In my opinion it is pretty cheap given the price of some "S" Coupe's. There must be a reason.139k sound high for this car?

black interior is a negative for me but love the exterior colour, B&O system i’d want and it has, are there any ‘must haves’ away from the normal bits, are there seat choices? I’m not a big fan of race seats unless the wings are low as i have a wide back.

Not many to compare it with on sale at the moment……
Not sure how we can judge price when there is absolutely nothing to compare it to. I believe one came up in the dealer network for £149,995 and lasted a day, hence why I think cheap. Mine's a keeper so makes no odds to me.Not many to compare it with on sale at the moment……

That looks a good car to me. I think prices have gone up a bit recently as I've got DB11 AMR and Vanq alerts on my phone. Both cars are hard to come by at the moment. For instance, last year I could have purchased an AMR for 50k less than the cheapest one I can find in Europe now.139k sound high for this car?

Chatting with the guy and checking out history etc, it all seems good, aston were one of the owners, so ex demo, guy’s happy to have a ppi carried out, are cheltenham aston reputable?
I’m checking out the black interior on another car on friday as i’m really not a fan of black, though it is easier to swallow on a cabrio that’ll only see sunny usage.
Its not really a money thing so paying more for the right colour combo might be something i decide on but theyre so rare (across the whole of europe) what are the chances of a light exterior / interior combo?

As for finding out the number of light exterior / interior combos I doubt AML could help as "light" is a bit non specific. However if you had a specfic colour combo in mind they may well be able to.
Problem is it's like finding a house in your favourite village. You have a drive around and shortlist 3 and then have to hope one comes to market.
Figured the same in the end, went to see a black interior car and i didnt hate it, just knew i’d like beige or chocolate more, not worth waiting for something that might not come..
Made some enquiries on a complete re-trim circa 10k by the looks of it so might well do this after living with it for a bit if it grates on me too much.
So, deal done, pick up in December for a Christmas drive back home to France before driving it down to Spain for the winter.
Quite excited at my first V12 ownership, cant get the sound out of my head from the Aventador test so hoping the Aston will cure me
