Selling? Classic car, auction or private?

Hello all,

I will soon be selling my restored classic mini pickup

This would be the most valuable car I have ever sold,

currently I am unsure if I want to give this to a auction house to sell on my behalf however at the moment I am unsure who to go with or of this is even a good idea. .

I have sold cars privately in the past however I have accepted cash / bank transfers..... small sums in comparison and my 2 most recent private sales I have attracted some very dodgy buyers.

I don't think I would feel comfortable accept 10k in cash or even a bank transfer.

What are my options and your advice/ experience

Take a look at www.carandclassic.co.uk/auctions ...I'm not sure what their selling fees are, but the buying process is pretty straightforward, and there's usually a variety of stuff being sold
