Seems both going in same direction, and not fast.

Amazing how Twitter detectives have been able to scrape the official transcript already!

I won't post it here as it should be private but as described above, sounds awful and difficult to get to.

Hope everyone is okay

It's a private internal communication from the Wessex control centre, train lovers on twitter are up in arms saying it's an offense to share it?

I haven't got Twitter and the info I have has not come from any control centre. There are other sources for those with an interest.

The two trains involved are 1F30 and 1L53....

Just heard that the trapped driver is now free.

The rain has been pretty heavy round here so it's perfectly possible that something has fallen onto the line. BBC news is concentrating on Glasgow though so not much information there.

someone somehow has pictures and inside info, can find it here if you're interested

Looks no way as bad as I first feared, but going to take a long time to get the line opened again.

It looks be near a curve/junction and near the station, so presumably they were going a relatively slow speed thankfully!

It doesn't mention how far into the tunnel it is - I guess if part of the tunnel roof fell in then it might take a while if they need to assess the rest of it. If it was a landslip outside then it would be simpler.

I'm sure it would still be interesting for whoever has to figure out how to get those trains out... Do you try and get the train upright onto the rails, or just drag them out one by one and accept the track will be fked?

edit: Answered the question, it's within the tunnel entrance: https://twitter.com/PoliticsForAlI/status/14549167...

About 80pts in total, but only one seriously injured, and that was the driver. Our bums clenched in the control room when the details came in.

Driver's cab well crumpled, while these units [158s ?] are structurally strong, the driver has little protection.

Hopefully the driver will recover fully.
