The initial 3 year subscription has just expired on my late 2018 320d Shadow Edition.

Previously it was a simple exercise to extend yearly the RTTI on the BMW Connected Drive website, but the option of RTTi no longer seems to be there.

Anyone else experienced problems? I've seen some USA comments suggesting the service had been permanently discontinued?

Does anyone know the current situation in the UK?

I've got it on my 2015 model, and it still seems to be working.

Maybe it's just not available on its own any more, and only as part of a package.

This is what mine says for the RTTI option...

But I've not found the ConnectedDrive app or website (nor the BMW Shop come to think of it) particularly user-friendly at all - including telling me I've got a map update available, but not telling me how I can actually download it (can't do OTA on my model) - and calls to the local dealerships seem to imply they'll only upgrade it for me if the car is in for some other work.

I also noticed the ConnectedDrive packages have changed from Basic, Plus, Pro to Booster S, Booster M, Booster L and Booster XL...but are also much cheaper than they used to be.

I'd agree its less than user friendly. Mine was working fine until expiry (this weekend),

When I go online I see the Connected Drive store, there are now no options to renew anything other than Concierge services....

If I log in to BMW ConnectedDrive it's there on the list for me, £49 for the year.

I eventually found the problem. The RTTI and other connected drive functions had expired but Map Update was still live until early December.

BMW Connected Drive helpline advised that you couldn't renew any of the services until all had run out - so they managed to manually end the map update early and voila - now I could renew all the services.

£79 for a year.
