Small block Ford V8 4WD and didn't it sound wicked. The production crew worked wonders converting the XK8 and Vantage to 4WD. I wonder if what they would of done with a Cerbera? Anyone thinking of swapping their AJP8 for a Ford V8?

I just wonder what they're going to do with the four Astons they were working on when they've finished with them!
I know of a home for one!!!

Can u imagine pulling out those plastic rockets on numpties on the motorway, their face would be (DISCLAIMER: this would be if it was legal to do so in a public place, with fake look a like weapons )

What a good program, much better than Drivel last Friday.

Anyone else agree that the Jag XKR didn't look mean enough for the 'baddies' car? I think a black Cerbie would have been much more appropriate. Must be something to do with Ford owning both Jag and Aston...

The Aston with the small block in it sounded AWFUL... just wasn't "right"

To say the format for the programmes are so similar, a racing driver, a used car salesman, and a racing driver girlee, the 2 programmes are so different, 5th Gear is professional, informative, and entertaining for petrolheads. Driven is just Drival Stop trying to make these type of programmes appeal to everyone, only car nuts watch them, numpties are watching soaps on the other channels, keep the programme focused, and keep up the good work C5.

Yeah - i agree, such a sophisticated car shouldn't sound so rough. They'll sound over it in the movie though.
Anyone else fall in love with Vicky B-H last night? - top bird!

Did you catch the developments costs line for the Astons? it cost £1.5million to convert them to the V8 & 4 wheel drive etc. If a Cerbie owner wants to give me over a million quid im sure i can bung in 4WD and a Ford small block for you.......

... and the fact that Ford paid over $ 1,000,000 US to make sure that the Aston appeared in the film...

Aston's only advertising has only really been via the Bond franchise.. and most people prefer to see him in an Aston than a Beemer according to a recent survey.

Ford did pay a fair bit of wedge, but they also got the XK Jag in, and the Ford Thunderbird... and a few others.

Christoffs Cerbie, that is a baddies car .

The Ford V8 sounded lovely, but just did not 'go' with the DB7, the whole dynamic was all wrong.

People still see Aston Martin as British through and through, which helps, still better than a Beemer though

yeah, i hated the Z8 in the last film, glad to see bond back with an AM but it would have been better if he had a Tuscan-R
