Full boot dimensions for used cars
Discussion
Hi
I've tried ( and failed.. ) to find anywhere that lists the key boot dimensions I need for used cars post say 2003
I can find plenty of facts about car length, height etc etc but all I need is height of boot from floor and height/width/depth of boot ( seats up )
Is there any resource that has these actual figures ( UK )
Thanks a lot

This website was recommended on here a while back

Aimed at wheel chair users but gives actual dimensions of boots of a wide range of cars.

It is a really handy site and one to which I refer regularly. For all the talk of 'cavernous' boots and volumes in litres, what I've found makes a handy load lugger is a boot that's at least 1.8m long with the read seats down, at least 1m long with them up, at least 1m wide at the narrowest point (preferably 1.1m), and a boot opening well over 600mm high. All this can be checked on that site which is great.http://www.ridc.org.uk/features-reviews/out-and-ab...

Glad to see RIDC has been mentioned here - it’s a great site.A number of manufacturer brochures show basic boot dimensions (brochures for Audi, Ford and Mercedes practical estates/SUVs/MPVs often did for 2004-2008ish cars I was considering recently).
The one thing that you may not notice in the dimensions is how steeply sloped the rear windscreen/rear half of the load bay is (as height dimensions normally go from the middle of the boot floor to the highest point in the roof.
If you’re likely to load up to the roof regularly, this is something to bear in mind. My current 2006 A6 Avant has 565 litres of space and a long and wide load space, while my old 2006 V70 had only 485 litres under the load cover, but a wider and taller loading area, meaning that you could fit much bigger things in.
