I noticed her story on news a similar time of day what feels like a week ago. I am so glad this wasn’t another maddy outcome. Having lost my son in the home for five minutes that same day; I was distraught enough as thought he let himself out of the home whilst I was on phone.

He was asleep in a play tent, and cannot open doors anyway but it didn’t stop the fear whilst I searched high and low and checked door history on the alarm!!!!!!

…thank god she was found and this ended well.

Yep agreed, a great bit of news to start the day with.

Well done Aussie plod and the local volunteers, I hope it hasn't left too much mental damage to the poor girl.

This has cheered me up no end first thing this morning.

Well done to everyone involved, what a strange case from start to finish.

As a father to a girl of similar age, it was a horrible story where I thought the worst was probably going to happen, thankfully it's a much better outcome. I hope they let the guy who did this fester in a really horrible outback jail for the rest of his miserable life.

It's not often these stories turn out this way, certainly had me a little emotional when I read this. Great news.

It sounds like there is quite a story behind this.

Even better - the fact that they are showing photos of her in hospital smiling suggests she suffered no abuse.

There is definitely something really strange about it: taken from the tent in the middle of the night and found alive and well in a house 3km from her family home 18 days later.

Good news for a change though.

Agreed, she looks to be in good spirits/health so hopefully nothing has happened to her while she was missing.

Proper police and detective work, by the sounds of things yes

I liked the description of the various reactions when they found her.

Strange there is no mention of the bloke who lived at the house being arrested? Or did I miss that?

He's a 36yr old native Australian.
His face is shown in a few news reports.

I wondering if there is a bikie element as a factor?

He didn't look the sort to be a bikie.

Is he known to the family? Details are scarce.

If it was a random nutter, terrible things would have happened, which happily seems not to be the case.

I think that the doll collection, and she was unharmed means that he has mental health issues and perhaps just wanted a real life child to look after.
