With what should I replace my i3
Discussion
i3 coming up to renewal time. Things we like: 'futuristic' styling, interior space, build quality. Things we don't like: the rear doors, punctures/pressure issues, frustrating iPhone connectivity, wind noise.
Any suggestions? So far considering the EQA or the iX3, or going back to ICE.

Last month decided we didn't need a car each so sold my Wife's SUV and my i3S with the plan of a bigger EV.
Bought an Ioniq 5 which is much bigger car than the i3.
Very happy with the choice.
Quite happy with the size of the i3, handy for those occasional trips into town. Could go a little bigger, but don't need another 'big' car.Bought an Ioniq 5 which is much bigger car than the i3.

iX3 seems like quite a size jump; have your requirements changed? Hyundai Ioniq hatchback or VW ID.3? Difficult to make suggestions without a bit more detail on needs...
No change, other than reduced usage. The i3 is a surprisingly big car, inside anyway due to clever packaging. Assume the iX3 is still X3 sized, i.e. not that big? Is that not correct? We recently got an i3, you might have seen my thread about it. For popping into town and regional travel like picking people up from the airport, I can't think of a better car to be honest. Maybe an ID3 worth looking at?
We went for the i3 because the leasing rates for business was just ridiculously low and VW couldn't get anywhere close to it. In the end I am very happy with the choice.

4.75m long and 1.9m wide. This side of an Audi eTron there are few larger EV's than an iX3 and it's considerably more than a 'little bigger' than the i3.Ev6/Ioniq5/Model 3/Polestar 2/iPace are all smaller. It's actually bigger than the original X5..

We generally like the i3, but my wife isn't a fan of the rear doors, and I'm sick of the frequent punctures or tyre pressure alarms. I guess that is going to be a common theme on most BEVs though, given the requirement for narrow, lightweight tyres. We went for the i3 because the leasing rates for business was just ridiculously low and VW couldn't get anywhere close to it. Agree on the rear doors though, fine if enough space but useless in car parks without many years experience of origami. I cursed them many times in ours although didn't have any tyre issues in 12 months and 15k miles.

The Ioniq is big but still feels nimble.
It almost a tonne heavier than the i3S but I'm still getting 3.8 miles/kWh (Summer) , i3 was around 4.5.
Actually, I traded in my first i3 Rex and bought the i3S for the bigger battery.
The i3S is even more fun to drive but I never had tyre issues on either except for a nail in a rear tyre last year.
Are you drifting round roundabouts ?

No, but we are quite rural. Those narrow tyres certainly don't seem very capable of soaking up potholes very well. Also the front callipers are great gravel collectors. It's not used off road, but it certainly isn't a 'city' car as BMW intended.
I would like an i3, but it just hasn't the range I need. I am perpetually puzzled why the market is buying huge cars now, a lot of EVs are 2tonne+
So, for me the Ora Cat looks a possibility. Mainly because it isn't huge, and it looks in early previews as if it is decently finished.
