Either Windows 11 has a glitch or two that's getting annoying or my computer has a fault.

As part of investigations into why I'm encountering a few gremlins with W11, I decided to swap its RAM with a trouble-free W10 computer which is virtually identical.

The computer always used to show base processor speed as 2.67GHz, now it shows 2.66GHz.
Yes, the difference is so tiny that it's unimportant but I'm curious as to why its reported base speed dropped by 0.01GHz.

Any ideas?

rounding error?

Which CPU is it, and what does CPU-Z show?

Processor is Intel Core2 Quad Q9400.

Haven't looked at CPU-Z.

I didn't think the Q9400 was an officially supported CPU for W11?

But anyway, it will just be rounding.

I get the same on my RAM...sometimes it shows 1800mhz, other times it shows 1799mhz (DDR, so 3600 vs 3598).

It's not supported. wink

Checker failed it on three counts: processor generation, secure boot and TPM.

But I don't think the ageing processor is the cause of the glitches because glitches happen even at low processor load according to task manager.
