Finally found an automatic in my budget but I need advice

I think you're expecting way too much for your money.
I think you'd be better off leasing something new for £100 a month.
Buying bottom of the barrel s
te like the stuff you've been looking at needs going in with eyes wide open by someone handy with the spanners, or someone who sees them as disposable.
£900 for 4 months MOT is a lot of money, as you can be almost certain that the owner hasn't sorted any of those Mot issues and will have accrued more issues since then.

Leasing isn’t an option for a lot of people and not appealing to others. I agree with the rest though - with 12 months MOT I’d take the risk - 4 months on a tight budget - no. I think you'd be better off leasing something new for £100 a month.

In the current climate £900 will get you very little, unfortunately.I think you'd be better off leasing something new for £100 a month.

If there is a car that can be leased for £100 a month, especially an auto, that's a good shout but I don't think that's possible any more?
The only thing that would put me off is the steering leak, it can either be the pipes or the rack itself, most likely the pipes on a Fiesta. Just remember to wash the fluid off before an MOT, other than that treat it as a disposable car, run it for a year and it will still be worth £300 as spares.

None of that looks too bad to me. Wouldn't put me off.
Can you really not find anything better for the money though?
I know that prices are up, but that still feels like a lot of money for that car

I’ve been looking for two weeks but it’s extremely hard, very limited at £1,000, I’d like something tidy and reliable and I know it’s possible if someone has looked after it but with automatics they seem to cost a lot more, otherwise I wouldn’t have any issues if I was looking for a manual as there’s loads out there.
