VH Vantage/DB9 etc handbrake switch help request

Hi all
Quick question. Has anyone removed the handbrake microswitch off the handbrake lever mechanism without taking the driver's seat out? The switch is secured by a couple of Pozi screws that pass through the handbrake main support bracket and screw into the metal part of the switch itself, with the heads of the screws pointing (if a screwhead can point) inboard under the seat.
Before I start scrabbling about on my knees with various long Pozi drivers, knuckle joints, etc I wondered if anyone on here had actually done the job and had any tips?
My car is a RHD V8V, but I suspect Aston use the same handbrake on all VH models. There may be a "mirror image" assembly for LHD, or it could be that the screws on LHD handbrakes are pointing outboard at the sill (rocker, for our American readers)
