Insurance under 25

It's coming up to that time of year again for my insurance renewal. Being 24 and a hugely irresponsible driver I am limited to my choices for companies. Aside from Tescos and elephant can anybody else suggest anyone woh may cover me. My insurance company will not give me a new quote or a renewal quote for 2 more weeks, and the people I spoke to on the phone are all numpties. When I asked to be put through to quotes I was answered with:
"I'm sorry I don't know who quote is."
Reminds me why I never want to work in a call centre.
Anyhow I'd like to switch so can anyone else help me?

My current insurer won't give me a renewal quote until the 4th of August. I'm hoping for around the same but with protected NCB.
Anybody know the deal regarding NCB if I take the car off the road for a while? Maybe over winter??

Initially sounds dodgy but I presume spanc refers to some sort of wargames site? Vaguely remember a mate whos into this sort of thing mention it.

Im in Norwich (towards wroxham) & no i havn't been to any meets yet.

Your site sounds a heck of a lot more interesting but erm is just a pink screen on my PC with a logo and pair of lips. Sounds like I'm missing something from the drooling of SXS etc.

You want to insure it even off the road in case it spontaneously combusts, gets nicked or a tree falls on it. Footman James do laid up cover (no I don't work for them!)
