Fancy a change

Hi guys, so I currently have a B7 RS4 as my main car. This is unfortunately in a garage having the engine pulled out for various reasons which I won't divulge, but anyhow it's left me feeling sour about the car (I already wasn't sure about keeping it).

I now fancy a change, so when I get it back I'll be looking to trade it on.

I also have a B6 A4 Avant 1.9tdi and a defender 90 TD5. Traditionally I've had sportier cars, so things such as an M2 comp, C63, M140i, Leon Cupra etc, but I now fancy a slower and comfier way of life with a bit of luxury and probably 4x4.

Budget max I would say £20k but lower the better.

Current considerations are the Discovery 4 and X5, but any other suggestions, or even opinions on the ones I have suggested, would be greatly appreciated!

Slight curved ball. I used to have a BMW 760Li. It was a truly awesome car. 550bhp of V12 gorgeousness. Went like the clappers but oh so luxurious. £20K would get you one of those and a sense of ‘good’ that no X5 or Disco could deliver.

Sounds like you want something reliable and wafty with a high driving position. I'd consider a Lexus RX450h, as they're good at comfort and being a Lexus will minimise your chances of the serious problems your Audi has.
