Hi All,

Browsing fleabay as ever.....came across this:

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/284309342464?hash=item...

Am I presuming correctly it will NOT fit my '94 4.0 HC RV8?

Just a thought....smile

Well it will fit but I doubt the bonnet will close, and these didn’t work very well from what I have read.

I seem to think the bonnet drops away so too low towards the front for these to fit.

Works fine in my Sport. hehe

It's an Eaton Supercharger from a 4.2 Jaguar engine isn't it?

Yeah, wrong type of range rover v8, that's off of a 322 or sport frown

That's an Eaton M112, if you have a rover V8 then it will physically bolt onto the engine with the chargecooler manifolds etc.

Thanks for the replies fellas.

Pardon my ignorance - what are the charge cooler manifolds?? Will this run with the standard 14CUX?

You'll need to remap, and cooling system reroute to cool the supercharger. On my Rangey Sport, it has it's own water pump and radiator.

Not a case of bolt it on and off you go. If only.

Been reading some info on the RPi website. They state the rear two cylinders eventually have piston ring issues as a result of the supercharger "inlet hole" not reaching them. I'm certainly not into building a new inlet manifold to enable improved inlet air flow. Any additional plates would make the supercharger higher and therefore not fitting under the bonnet. I have a supercharged gt86 and it goes like stink with a tiny unit!! I have no doubt a supercharged Chimaera 4.0 would be a bit of fun!

What do others think?

Obviously. But it's a heck of a lot of work and expense.
