I have a commercial property I am going to split into two units. One side has two meters a single-phase and a 3 phase of only the single phase is used.

I just had a quote to install a new supply 15 feet and its quoted as £13.5k due to supply issues close by.

Could I have someone take the current unused meter which is still live and relocate at the other side thus providing both units with power? They are both on sep billing accounts and company names.

I did ask the sales girl but she was not very helpful and pretty uninterested in advising

Shouldn't be an issue and a service alteration should be a hell of a lot cheaper than a new supply.

leave the meters where they are and run sub mains cables to where you need them, save moving the meter kit which is the supplier responsibility and thus £££££ to move.
