Hopefully a minor question: I have a google mesh wifi thingy, which is plugged into my regular router, The problem is the google mesh only has one ethernet port.

Is this what i need to plug in all my peripheral devices?

Is it just plug and play or do I need to do any configuring stuff?

Secondly once I've done that, is there an easy way to stop my original router broadcasting?

Yes just plug and play

You'll need to log in to your router and switch wifi off, if you are on VM be aware that in "modem mode" only the bottom Ethernet port functions

(I assume one "spare" Ethernet port is what you mean)

Yes, simple plug and play.

I bought these for my network - https://www.dcdi.co.uk/wifi-routers-switches/switc... comes out cheaper even with postage.
