I've killed cooked and eaten various birds, fish, rabbiits and squirrels.
Can't say I really enjoyed it but wouldn't have an issue doing it again if I was hungry.

If it came down to a "him or me" situation I think I could kill a human, but who knows what would happen in the heat of the moment.

Kill a human - yes, if they endangered my loved ones it seems a fairly easy decision.
Kill any other animal to eat? Not sure. I'd be eating anything else first veg, plants, berries, nuts. Don't need to eat meat.
Maybe the person I killed could be turned into a tasty roast snack?

Most animals, including the primates (that's us btw), will go to great lengths to avoid violent confrontation where the outcome is not predictable.
