Hi, I'm keen to hear if any (new) Vantage owners have taken their car for a full suspension geometry review? If so, what were the results/findings?

Trying to ascertain what sort of camber can be dialled in.

Thanks

Not had mine done yet but will be getting it sorted over the winter.

Luckily my brother in law is https://www.chassis-setup.co.uk/ so we can play about with it.

I’ll let you know how we get on if you haven’t had yours sorted already by the time I sort my life out

Please keep me posted how you get on.

I don't own one, merely considering buying one. I have an old-shape GT8 which I've been using for trackdays for the past 4.5 years. A great car, but its now done almost 10k miles and I'd like to move into something faster (there's only so many Porsches you can let past before your ego gets bruised!).

One of the main frustrations with the GT8 is that in 10k miles / circa 25 track days I have been through 5 sets of front tyres (due to NSF outer edge wear). In contrast, I've only just taken off the original set of rears this month! Center Gravity looked at it and could not find more than 1.5 neg camber.

A secondary frustration is the exhaust, which is 108-109dB static so makes finding trackdays difficult.

So my current options are:

1) keep the GT8 but throw some serious money at custom wishbones, Ohlins, lightened flywheel, custom manifolds, quieter exhaust
2) admit defeat and find a flipped 992 GT3
3) buy a new Vantage (probably the F1 Edition), fit smaller wheels with trackday tyres and hope that 2+ neg camber can be achieved

Hmm..

I did. Suspension Secrets came out to me and sorted a fast road setup which was enough to make the car epic on track with some adjustment still left if needed. I test drove a Vantage F1 and it felt similar in setup to that. It did require Cup 2s as I munched a set of P Zeros in one day at Donnington. Highly recommended! Hope helpful.

A VERY quick & cheap way to quieten the exhaust can be putting secondary decats on. I am pretty sure the GT8 does not have them from factory while normal Vantages do and everybody and their mother here are taking them off to fit straight pipes, myself included.

As for other mods, there is a great chap near the Nurburgring doing this sort of things, Valiant Ecosse.
