I can't use it on my Android phone, when I click Search I get a popup asking for my postcode, when I try to type my postcode in the box fades away!

Which Android device / Browser are you on? I have a Pixel 6 here and no issues entering postcode.

It's also strange that you're being asked for a postcode on this screen as all entry points to the page should have already prompted you for a postcode. The one exception I can think of is an older saved search, but you say you're able to "click Search" when this happens. Could you let me know the steps to reproduce?

Galaxy S9 with Samsung Internet as below.
2nd screenshot shows postcode pop up after I click show results and 3rd shows it fading. Maybe I have to use a different browser but I'm not going to do that just to search the classifieds.

Ok, that is our old search page which should be going away soon. Sorry for the inconvenience but it won't be a problem in a few weeks.

In your case it's the message that fades away. The postcode box is just to the top left of where it has faded away. Not the easiest to find, I'll admit, but that page hasn't been updated in 10 years!
