I'm after a Sonos SL alternative. The Sonos sub is very expensive so something similar. I thought the Harmon kardon citation One devices could use a sub with the Google home app but apparently not they only work with a citation sound bar.
Not sure how much DIY effort you're up for but the Ikea Symfonisk system controls are Sonos components. Plenty of YouTube videos of cracking open the case and using them to control other speakers including subs.
