Had a bit of a prang yesterday morning on the way into work and after some advice. Someone decided they'd cut the corner coming off a roundabout and ran into my front wing. Damage is minimal - scrape just into GRP on drivers-side front arch, chipped wheel where I mounted the kerb trying to avoid him and a burst tyre. Car has been towed away and insurers (Tesco) have given me a 1.2 Corsa!
Insurers informed, etc., etc., but the other guy's reaction was "what were you doing" so I suspect he might contest. Not sure how him running into my lane is my fault, but there you go. I seem to remember someone recommending a company that handled sorting out a decent cover car, organising claiming the excess back, and generally making sure the insurers didn't screw you over, but a search has turned up nothing. Does anyone know if off hand?
PS: I'm in Edinburgh, so I'm going to Phone Noel at V8 today for recommendations, but has anyone on here got any suggestions for someone who can give an informed assessment of the car? Not sure a random insurance garage will necessarily be up to the job...
