HID fuse location

Hi all ,

I’m going to replace the ageing D1S hid bulbs on my v8 vantage.

I want to pull the headlight fuse before I work on it to power down the ballasts.

Problem is the headlight cabin fuses only supply the main beam. Anyone know which fuses are for the dipped , ballast driven HID?

If I recall correctly the fuses are in the fuse box under the passenger side footwell mat. There's an aluminium cover you need a trox bit to remove. Can't remember off the top of my head what the fiuse possitions are though!

Edit - you might be right - they might only be the high-beam fuses in there......

Indeed. Cannot find the HID fuse listed anywhere

Check my owners manual and it says the fuses are 'headlamps' no mention of low of high beam.

I'd just remove those. Maybe the ballasts for the HID have internal fuses?

I replaced a ballast on mine without any issues. Didn't got near the fuses.
