Whenever I travel about the UK I try to check out if any locations have featured on album covers and recreate the cover as a photo for a bit of a laugh.

Abbey Road is the obvious one, I'm one of millions of tourists who has stopped traffic on the zebra crossing there.

This year I've done the slightly more obscure CSI: Ambleside by Half Man Half Biscuit and yesterday did Black Sabbath's eponymous debut at Mapledurham Water Mill, on the Thames just outside Reading.

So, PH music fans: is there anywhere in the UK that you know as an album cover location?

I'm predominantly southern based, but do venture up north from time to time.

Mike Oldfield: Hergest Ridge is an easy one as the album is named after a place (as Abbey Road) and the cover is a location picture smile

It was actually my office a few years back - had the album cover framed and on the wall!

You should have re-instated the K.West sign.

10cc's "Deceptive Bends" was named after a (unique?) road sign on the A24 near Dorking, but it's not on the album cover, so doesn't really count.
