Can any existing owners give any advice or insight to the EQA ?

We currently coming from BMW i3s and need slightly more range and a bit more space. BMW IX3 is probably a bit big for needs, and local garage has a few EQA 350 AMG line models for quick delivery.

May also consider VW ID4 (again may be a little big for wife) or VW ID3 but as it will be a company purchase, will need to purchase / lease new and the lead times on these cars just wont work !! VW salesperson said on Saturday that they wouldn't be able to delivery for at least 6 months, probably more likely 12 months !!

We've got one, a black EQA 250 AMG Line Premium bought new in July and now has just over 3k miles on it.

Very happy to answer any specific questions, but so far good points:

Exceptionally quiet and comfortable
Great build quality, feels really solid and safe
All the tech we need
Got a free home charger as part of the deal

And bad points:

Small boot
No electric memory seats
Squeaky wipers

Ask away.

Thanks for getting back to me !!

I guess the main thing is range etc. I'm aware having come from the I3 that the WLTP range figures sometimes bear little resemblence to real life !! I'm also aware how driving styles etc will affect things ... a simple increase in the heater in the i3 affects the range quite significantly.

Have you had any issues (ie 12 v battery etc) ?

Many thanks

Range hasn't really been an issue as we only use the car locally or the occasional longer trip and never long enough to warrant charging anywhere other than at home.

On a full charge driving around locally and on B roads using the mid regen braking setting we would expect at least 220 miles. We have a home 7kw charger so quite simply when it gets to about 20% we charge it overnight. It's possible to average 3.9kw/mile in the warmer weather but we have noticed this drop to around 2.7kw/mile if it's cold outside, the dials on the display show the power usage for each group, driving, heating/cooling and other things. In reality expect winter range to be about 200 miles.

Regen can be set to be quite gentle or fierce on the paddles behind the wheel, I like this as rarely do you need to brake.

We have had no issues at all, we just jump in and go. It is used very much as a local runaround so does get its fair share of stop/start use which to be fair it is absolutely ideal for. Occasionally the autonomous braking and or the speed limit reading camera goes off line but it tells you this on the display and clears up in minutes. I think it's condensation or mist on or around the camera.

This won't affect you if you go for the EQA350 as it's 4 wheel drive but I would say the 250 loses traction quite easily and it does tend to struggle to put the torque all through the front wheels, even in the dry. It's not blisteringly fast but entertainingly quick as all the power, whenever and wherever, is instantly available. Don't forget they are all, as far as I know, restricted to 99mph.

I would imagine the 350 is far more sure footed and would be my choice now if I was buying one knowing how the 250 struggles without 4 wheel drive.

What is most noticeable with them is just how well built they are, and just how peaceful they are to use. They are so comfortable and effortless to use on a daly basis, they are absolutely perfect for the use we need a car for.

I have just ordered a EQA350 AMG as a company car.

The range is a bit of a worry, but a I can’t do too much more than 2 hours without a break these days it should be okay.

I’m actually pretty excited about it to be honest.

I’ve ordered it in the red (similar colour to my current c class) but I am thinking about changing to the dark silver grey.
