E46 Bluetooth problem

The bluetooth connection in my 2004 330ci E46 to my Nokia 6310i is driving me to distraction. Literally. It continually disconnects itself. It was fine up until a few weeks ago and then this connect/disconnect nonsense began. I've checked the phone, reset the bluetooth. Anyone else experienced this?

Yup, I've had numerous problems with a plethora of phones. If you call BMW and ask the question they'll probably tell you it will only work fully with 2 phones (dependant on your Release Version of the Bluetooth software in the car)

I believe currently there are 3 or 4 Nokia phones that will work fully (integrating phone book with car etc). Don't ask me which ones, I have an old set that I can't remember the make but works fully through the bluetooth. I swap the SIM to this phone which resides permanently in the car.

the answer is almost certainly the versions of software in the BMW and the phone - check the BMW website for compatible phone versions (I have an old 6310i and it works fine every time) and get your dealer to upgrade the BMW software.

Incidentally I have a Motorola V3 which should not work but does!

I had a 320i courtesy car from BMW once with the bluetooth function. Worked a treat with my 630i and K700i (Sony Ericsson), but then Ericsson was the original creator of bluetooth......

I had that problem, and it turned out to be becuase there were too many text messages stored on my phone.

Once I got used to deleting them regularly it soon stopped happening.

Hey, anyone know how to reset this Nokia Bluetooth which I think was installed by BMW... Model of car is the 320CI Sport and the speaker of the bluetooth is under the arm rest... BMW asking for £85 to get the password and they also told me it`s 4 digits... Will be grateful to hear from some pros whom could hopefully help me with this little problem. I had this problem with samsung phones so swapped my simcard to nokia 6230i and perfect.. try putting your card in another phone just to make sure its not the phone actin the goat first..

There should be a sticker with the number on the side of the control unit
Pass Key or PK ****
The control unit should be on the left side of the boot behind the trims.

Never had a problem with Nokia 6210 incoming and outgoing calls, address book and auto bluetooth connection. Works from my briefcase, pocket or cradle all the same. Perfect.
