I've heard that because they aren't as "airy" as normal matresses you don't get the air-flow... meaning the bed gets hotter. Now, I'm hot enough stuff in bed as it is - without compounding the problem! 
I have also heard that they do "breathe" just fine...
So, all in all a rubbish post with no conclusion for you.

cool can u explain whats the difference between having the diff depth matteresses or having a deluxe cw a combi is? surely if the whole point of the funky foam is that it supports u perfectly then there should only be one product as you dont get harder or softer ones it should just be perfect support??

I got a tempur matress. They are fantastic.
Be warned it takes a few nights to get used to it so don't panic (like I did) and think you have wasted a few grand.
I bought it for my bad back and it has helped a lot.
The only downside (apart from cost) is that all other beds will be uncomfortable. So you will be sitting in your £300 a night 5 star hotel room wishing you were at home in your own bed.
I think they do a free trial but you have to keep the protective wrapping on so it is a bit pointless!

oooh will ask them about the wrapping as am getting the 60 day free trail today and they didnt mention that!!

I heard the same, so we compromised and got a pocket-sprung mattress which has a latex top layer. Best of both worlds, hopefully.
ive got a 6ft delux AFAIC the diff being the depth of 'memory foam' and with the delux you get a thin extra layer of softer type material on top.
At first the matress 'smells' very chemically, but after a couple of weeks it fades.
The pillows, i couldnt get on with. They just didnt feel comfortable. im sure they are very good for you, and i did stick with them for a month, but i just couldnt put up with the 'unnatural' neck position.
I dont think theyre hot. But a colleague whos got one as well says they are.......so who's right?????

The different depths are basically the same it just changes how luxurious the mattress feels and is really personal preference.
The Deluxe Mattress is simply a more luxurious feeling mattress as it has the Tempur Material added into the velour cover for increased comfort.
Dont think i could say what the "best" pillow is its really down to what suits you.
With regard the VAT i believe that if you have a diagnosed medical condition you may not have to pay the VAT i'm not sure.
Best thing to do is to call and an advisor can ascertain what might be best for you and will also send out a pack full of information and a sample etc.
I've recently bought the Slumberland version of this mattress and find it gets very warm. In fact, during hot weather it gets very uncomfortable and sweaty.

Apart from the fact it's incredibly comfortable, the main difference you'll notice compared to a pocket-spring jobby is that the Tempur *doesn't bounce*.
This may, or may not, be a problem depending on the way you like to move
