Look at the prices of the stuff here:
https://worldlifehome.com/product-category/tools/#...
Some of the stuff is 1/6 of its RRP
I can pay by PP so is it worth a punt?
If it doesn't turn up I can get my money back via PP right?
One of the items was advertised on FB marketplace this morning so I asked if I could pick it up, Mohammed Imran messages me back with the link to that place ^
I've asked if it's a copy, but he says it's genuine.

Of course its a scam. Why would anyone sell products 1/6 of their actual value? The website is designed to get greedy fools to part with their money. https://worldlifehome.com/product-category/tools/#...

Yes it looks dodgy af, but how is it working if I pay by PP?
Are you sending money as a gift? Are you going to be able to prove you've never received it?
Are they shipping boxes only?
They'll have a way around it all I bet, but something for a £5 and see??
Edited to add - my router doesn't even let me get there, let alone any virus protection, I'm not bypassing it to see

Well for a start the picture of their team is stolen from IKEA:
https://about.ikea.com/en/life-at-home/behind-the-...
It is - without a shadow of a doubt - 100% a scam and frankly if, after the advice in the thread, you decide to punt it anyway you'll deserve to lose every penny imo.
Don't be stupid.

The photo in About Us is from an Ikea project.
The address is probably a random one. I would ask if anyone in Edinburgh cares to check it out. I can't even be bothered to check if it exists on Gmaps nor do I want to waste anyone's time checking out the venue.
Plus the phone numbers are obviously not British, and are used on another company's website, allegedly based in USA. The address is probably a random one. The thing I don't understand with your attitude is why do you think you will receive anything at all? You aren't going to get what you think you are buying, regardless of Paypal or any other payment "protection". This is how scams work. They prey on the vulnerable and greedy - do you fall into one of those categories?
Businesses just don't sell new, legitimate products at vastly reduced prices - they just don't. No matter how much you want it to be true, it just won't be

Someone I know got caught by a similar scam.
They bought a £300 oscilloscope for £40.
They did indeed receive a package - transpired it was some cheap toy.
Also paid by Paypal, who didn't want to know as seller provided proof that they had supplied goods, so no refund.
Don't always bank on PayPal refunds...

Best case you'll get your money back from PayPal after a fight (unlikely as the scammers will have some way around it, they'll send you a box with a cornflake in to prove delivery). You won't get the goods you want.
Worst case you'll lose all your money.
You know you'll never get the goods at 1/6 retail price.
I'm genuinely baffled as to why any sane person would "give it a try"..... Not having a dig at you OP... I would honestly love to know your thought process on this one....
