Mk4 Mondeo cdc electronic dampers.

My beloved titanium X just failed the mot due to a leakin damper.
Its the electronic type (sport/normal/comfort),garage have informed me they are now unavailable!
Anybody had this issue before?
Can they be replaced with standard shocks and reprogrammed or is there a monroe damper that is equivalent of the ford ones?
