570s rear wing - desirable ?
Discussion
Only you can decide if it’s desirable !
However if you doing any sort of moderate tracking them the HDK will make a world of difference. It’s no coincidence that the 570s TP while not having a rear wing does have a deeper rear lip than a standard 570s, so aiding rear downforce
For aesthetics I wouldn’t bother

If McLaren didn't install it at the factory it doesn't belong...also, those appendages are for show. I'd be pretty confident in thinking they have never been in a wind tunnel. Would you buy a car that someone else personalized? I love my 570S Spider just as it sits.
Nice and I agree. Wings can look a bit 'max-power' to me. Leave as is.Ref wind tunnel testing - Am assuming McLaren developed and tested their 570 HDK properly before release inc. wind tunnel and track work. The aesthetics are personal taste though I’d not doubt that much R&D is behind the product. From memory the 570 has rear end lift at v high speeds so the HDK sorts this should one wish to explore the upper reaches without squeaky bum

I would say as above, Mclaren would have tested any of their high downforce kits, you would certainly like to think so at 10k ish, however i would imagine any of the "aftermarket" stuff i.e Novitec hasnt been anywhere near a wind tunnel, maybe a cfd package at best.Edited by Streetbeat on Monday 22 November 16:11
