Anyone know what the service intervals are for 2021 RS5? Mine has done 5,600 miles and it’s telling me I’ll need an oil change in 28 days!

Is this a revenue generation situation for Audi dealerships? My CaymanS was 20K intervals for oil changes.

Our RSQ3 is going in for an oil change after only 7,600 miles, costing nearly £350! This seems crazy to me!

Anyone had the same issue?

Oil after 12 months/9k, Oil & inspection after 24 months/18k.

Use a good independent specialist to carry this out at a more sensible price.

Thanks for the quick response! Won’t that affect the warranty?

No, but maybe the resale price.

If it were me I'd use the main dealer.

...but then I'm usually over cautious when it comes to my cars (and used to be a main dealer...so a bit sympathetic hehe)

For as long as people propagate the baseless myth that a franchise operator does a better job than a respected independent, then said franchise operator will continue to charge vast sums of money.

It's an RS car. Much like a Porsche man won't moan about seeing a stamp from RSJ, an Audi person won't moan about seeing the name of a respected specialist.

Option 2 - suck it up and pay for the overpriced oil change.

All joking aside though, a full dealer service history can be important to some. Plus...in the unlikely event that something goes wrong the franchised outfit (should) have the full backing of the manufacturer.

But as said, it's possible to save a few quid on the day.

The RS5/RS4 can be put on a standard Audi service or service and maintenance plan the same cost as a standard A5/A4. As yours is under a year old it might be worth asking the dealer for a quote?

Tried looking at service plans, RS models are excluded…

That is incorrect. The RS6/7 are excluded. The RS 4/5 are not. I have a 3 yr service and maintenance plan on mine.

That’s very strange! I’ve just put my registration and mileage into the Audi website and it said sorry you can’t have a service plan..

How odd! Dealer offered it to me at purchase (June) and I was amazed that as my mileage had halved from my GTI the plan on the RS4 was half the price of the Golf!!
Might be worth a chat with your local dealer, good luck thumbup
