i had a little food chopper device that i bought from aldi/lidl and well its st tried to make a few things using it and it kinda chops it slightly but then its all plastered to the side and then obviously it doesnt do anything, im sure it would work with a bigger load but im not filling it up
dont need anything huge but should also be very easy to clean.

any suggestions

I've got one of these, does the job bit the bowl still needs to be half full for it to work properly.

I'm still looking for a cheap bullet type blender for smooth sauces etc as the above isn't up to that.

I have that too but I found the bowl in that didn't work well either
Half the time the blades don't seem to be close enough to the bottom

Depends how much you want to spend but the bigger magimixes come with smaller bowls and attachments which work well.

Or maybe...?

That could be the badger!

Just reading a review
"Unlike others it still operates when barely any ingredients are added"

Actually the one I was looking at was the le micro mini chopper

What are you using it for? I have a food processor and a jug blender but I find that if you're only doing small amounts then hand chopping or grating does the job. Using a fine grater on veg will give as good a result as any food processor.

If you want a little one, get a ninja. Use ours all the time. Really good for an onion or 2, couple of slices of breadcrumbs etc.
For a big one, get a Magimix.

Use the small pot all the time for pesto/ curry pastes.
