Spotify ID7 Issues

Just wondering if anyone with Idrive ID7 is having problems with the native Spotify integration recently?

Had my wifes 2020 X4 M40i since Sept 2020 and Spotify has worked perfectly until the last week. Its logged into my account in the car and normally streams via the cars 4G/LTE connection.

The Spotify app is still showing in the Media section and allows me to navigate playlists etc and select songs, however no music plays through the car. Strangely if I check my phone it shows Spotify is playing the song requested and via the car but there is definitely no sound and the car???

I've tried disconnecting/reconnecting our phones but this hasn't helped. I’ve even tried logging out of Spotify via the Idrive and reconnecting but to no avail.

For clarification, this isnt bluetooth streaming which we dont and havent used - mainly because it doesn't give full access to the playlists, songs and search like the native Spotify integration does.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Have you tried an IDRIVE reset - press and hold the power off button for about 30 seconds - it will reboot and see if the problem persists.

Thanks, will try that as I couldn't find a way to reset.

Its also in for service at BMW on Thurs so will ask them - but doubt they'll be particularly helpful...
