Contractor accountants
Discussion
Hi all
Just wondered if any of you can recommend an accountant for a contractor working outside of IR35 and will be registered for flat rate VAT.
The firm I used to use provided a weekly breakdown of how much you could withdraw and spend and how much needed to remain in the business account after I told them what my expenses were that week. This worked well for me because I always had the right amount of tax and VAT left in the account and no surprises on bills.
I'm about to start a new contract assignment and need an accountant but the one previously used has put their fees up massively.
Any recommendations appreciated
Cheers

They look good, exactly what my previous accountant offers but some 50 quid a month cheaper.paddy1970 said:
+1 for Maslins. I've been with them for ten years. Most emails I send I get a well written, helpful response within a couple of hours.Raymond Reddington said:

Rule of thumb i used to use was to net off the VAT and then take it that 80% of the remainder would be distributable as dividend/salary. You may well end up with more than this following deductable expenses but you won't be caught shortJust wondered if any of you can recommend an accountant for a contractor working outside of IR35 and will be registered for flat rate VAT.
