Broadband to Full Fibre
Discussion
My contract with Plusnet ends in the middle of December.
I've had BT lay full fibre to home round in my area so im thinking it's time to go for it.
I'm giving BT a call in the morning as they have the most competitive pricing for FF, and I've got Sky so ringing them to get options and reductions on Sky TV as per the usual annual activity.
Before I ring them both i'm unclear on a few things if anyone can help though;
1. I take it I can get rid of the landline now?
2. What happens does it just get cut off by Plusnet?
3. I've had BT Sport with Plusnet in the price which was decent, where/who have you got this from if moving to FF?
Overall if I get rid of the landline now I'm paying 15-20 quid more for 900MB from 30mb so seems like a good way to go.

Decided to be sensible and went FF100 with BT that gives upto 150mb and 30uploadl I've had BT lay full fibre to home round in my area so im thinking it's time to go for it.

That see's us fine and the wireless is no better than 150 anyway.
Like you I lost bt sport when I changed provider (to zen in my case as they were the only people who could be arsed to make a full fibre connection work). The cheapest way to get it back was to move one of the kids mobiles to EE and then add BT as an add on for £5 a month. This works with the app and with the faster speeds the 4K picture on my telly is superb!

I had to bend on BT's offer tbh which was 20 a month (on sky). I got rid of EE as too expensive.I'll be playing hardball with sky In January to get costs down there as the contracts up.
Bloke ordering said it would be in by the 13th of December....I get an email from Plusnet saying services would be disconnected on the 30th of Dec?
I ring them up and get told "that was the request date to Openreach and the best we've got is the 30th December".
My contract ends on the 18th December.
They've done 20 pound credit to sort out the difference in pushing plus net back....But what a frigging joke. Also had to put them back to the 5th of December, who on earth wants BT in over xmas holidays.
And also now not sure now when I've put the phone down if this now means I've got to inform plus net I only want this chopped off for the 5th.
