Does any know the difference in actual light output (in lumens ideally) between the LED PDLS+ and the older Xenon PDLS?
I know about the clever adaptive range of the PDLS+ but are the LEDs any brighter than the PDLS Xenons?

There was a video somewhere where there wasn’t as much difference between them as you would expect, not anything like halogen to xenon.

I think the high beam was actually a slightly lower output.

Yes I know, the LED lights are truly brilliant. And if speccing from new I would go for them without hesitation.

I’m interested to know how the PDLS Xenons compare.

I had them on my 981 GTS and they were good, but not as good as the LEDs on my 718 GT4. As per the video above, I find on dipped beam the LEDs definitely show up more of the road so that's probably the extra brightness and I find they adapt to the scenery much more than the Xenons did even though they're both dynamic. They were expensive, and I don't even drive at night that often, but I'd pay the £1300-ish for them again for sure.

If shopping for a used car would they be a must have? I think that would depend on the car and how many people might have specced them from new. You may end up looking for a needle in a haystack...

I spec'd the LED matrix lights in my Cayenne, for me they are a noticeable step up when driving compared to the HID lights in my old Cayenne.
I'm not sure I'd have gone for them but I'd an ex demo A4 between and it had the LED matrix lights installed which showed me how much better that lighting system was.
