Hi,

We lost our beloved furry son earlier this year and I'm thinking with us now emotionally recovered (just) I would get something memory wise for Christmas.

1. Is this a bad idea lol
2. I've seen a lot of these companies that do jewellery out of images are they any good in terms of quality?
3. Anyone got any other decent ideas?

I'd go with a canvas.

Jewellery is a bit, err naff. Unless you had a Jack Russell (for example) and bought a JR charm for a Pandora or similar. Then it might be ok.

I'd go for a picture of some kind. I found a lovely photo we had taken of our dog on the beach and got it printed onto a canvas.

Sorry for your loss.

We lost two brothers, at 17 years old, three weeks apart.

I bought a digital photo frame and loaded it with all the pictures we had of our cats.

Sorry for your loss

Photos or video is best for me.

Love seeing videos of my old cocker playing when he was younger.

Thanks for the input all.

My wife gets a thing made out of ashes, memories in glass I think it is, and she has a bracelet with them on...

Um ive seen this.

Only trouble is we had him put in a wood box and the things screwed in.

I also dont think I can open it emotionally tbh.

I know you mentioned you have done a canvas, but we got a painting done of ours. Not your traditional style, but we like it.
