Just watching Grandad Biden giving a press conference. He keeps saying "Omnicrom" rather than Omicron which is the correct word. I thought it was just him (as he's never come over as too bright) but his chief doctor seems just be using the same term. I think some of the journos there are using it too.

It's a letter of the Greek alphabet so I can't imagine that it has a different spelling an pronunciation between the US and the countries which use actual English as their official languages.

Fairly certain that Omnicrom was an old way of rendering proofs for checking prior to printing. Any old-school graphic designers care to confirm or correct?

To me it was just the name of a well known classic Lancia specialist before Boris nicked it

I want to know why we went from Mu straight to Omicron skipping Xi…was it a bit to close to the truth?

Perhaps it's like the Aluminium / Aluminum thing, but the other way round?

Don't think Unicron was a decepticon per se....

His chief doctor probably doesn’t want to make Joe look any dafter than he already does by correcting him mid-press conference.
Omnicrom - sounds like a piles cream.
Omnicron - sounds like a con.

Future variants will be even more super and more mutant?

'super mutant' is a serious epidemiological term? Sounds scientific or it's been dumbed down, cartoonised for easier public consumption?

Given asymptomatic spreaders they really should have got Ninja in there.

Call it Ninja and make the vaccine Mean Green coloured and I may consider it.

The Chronicom variant has arrived?

Call for Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.!!!

As an aside, the BBC Breakfast News this morning mis-spelled Omicron as Omnicron on some of their captions early on in the show, but had corrected it later in the show.
