I had to lose a few hours in Ely yesterday - not a good light but I'm glad I had the 3.2Mp compact with me.

How did you do that? Is it inverted?

Looks cool but brings back terrible memories as I used to have to attend a service in there 3 times a week for years!!

I think simpo uses PSCS. I guess he inverted it and de saturated it like this and cleaned it up.

Hmm, it doesn't quite add up to what you have got (the inverse, desaturation) but it is also the closet approximation I could make. Polarisation + desaturation seemed to produce something similar effect, but again not quite..

So what did you do..?

I personally suspect a little channel mixing going on. I had a little play with a curves adjustment layer, and another layer was set to difference, then this happened:

Not sure about the typography but the colour is nice!

I actually used an inverted gradient map. It's the first time I've inverted it but it seemed to make the features stand out more.

Yep, I don't have a very good selection of fonts. Can visualise the photo being used as the cover of a novel.
