Opinions please, fed up paying silly money for razor blades, don’t think manufacturing costs justify high price, feel ripped off every time I buy them. Not willing to buy another new razor which ties me to one manufacturer.

Would you recommend Harry blades for everyday use?

I have a mail order subscription with Harry's. They're not quite as good as Wilkinson Sword but they're reasonably priced and the subscription saves me the effort of looking for the right blades instore etc.

I tried them. They are good and I like their face cream and shaving foam. However, I get toiletries (including razor blades) provided free at work, so they aren't good enough to not use free Gillettes.

Just buy a proper razor and whatever double edged blades take your fancy. They cost pence.

Obviously it depends if you have a chin like Desperate Dan or not, but I have been using Gillette disposable for years, one last about two months, never ever used shaving cream in my life.

For me best razor blades I have ever used, they last considerably longer than any High Street brands blades do going back many years, I shave maybe 3 or 4 times a week and can often go 2 or three months without a new blade, yes they get a bit grabby towards the end but still cut fine withy no rashes and skin issues.

I would deffo recommend.

Tried them - no where near as good as Gillette pro glide.

Another vote for double edge blades. Harrys and other subscription based blades are trash and blunt quickly.

Double edge. There is an enormous thread on here about them.
I ‘converted’ on my honeymoon 10 years ago and kept a multi blade razor just in case I wanted to go back to it. Binned it a few years ago having never used it once.
As said above a double edge blade costs pence and they are better. Win win.

I had a subscription in the before times and found they lasted so long that I kept pushing the renewal back. My wife got the free handle deal too and we ended up with a bunch of blades that lasted us ages. She still uses them (and hasn’t reordered any since at least March 2020) but I’ve grown the beard out a bit and use a trimmer now so quality might have changed in the meantime.

I have them currently, it’s not quite as good as cornerstone but I have so many blades I will use them up until they run out and then Make a decision

I would contest the blunting, every Gillette I ever used lasted nowhere near as long as the Harrys I have bought online. Maybe depends on your beard, but for me they last far, far longer than even old 2 blade stuff from Sensors etc.

Longevity of the blades is irrelevant.
If you've ever spent money on Harry's blades then you have already spent more than I ever will with my lifetime of DEs.
DEs are a better shave for a fraction of the cost.
Added bonus is that the wife will never borrow them.

Twice.

DE shaving is the way forward.
