er... £26,500... this seems too cheap...

http://www.911uk.com/car.asp?stockid=27261

So is this a stock 911 with a tinkered engine..? Even so, it seems cheap for the power...

:scratchchin: wonder what part-ex I'd get on the Chimaera..?

Celebration 964s were Viola Purple cars and were 964 C4's built with a turbo-bodyshell.

I'm guessing therefore that someone had an Anniversary C4 turbo-charged by Ruf with the RCT-Evo engine.

It would make quite a car, as it would be a 4wd 450bhp 964 wide-body in effect............

I think the widebody 964 is one of the nicest 911's.

Well the vendor has replied, with more pics. It is RHD and looks beautiful. Someone is going to get a very nice car.

If it were LHD I'd be on my way to look at it now ...

Dan,

Are you crazy? Who cares that's it RHD, it's awesome!
A RUF RCT EVO (one of my dream cars) based on a 964 Celeb? That's too cool for school.

Go on, you know you want to...

I dont know where he got his power output figures from. The RCT EVO is rated at 460bhp, and does not have 546lb ft...(thats the same as a 550 R turbo)

Perhaps he means NM?

If you find out the Vin i can have a check with the boys downstairs no problem.

all the best

Looked like a good deal...One thing that intrigued me with that car was the running gear.

The 964 C4 had 250bhp,,, the 4wd running gear of the 993TT was revised over the slightly crude 964 version. I wondered if the 4wd system in this car was up to coping with the extra power?

If RuF converted the car, then I assume thay were happy that the running gear could cope, just had me wondering as it is not that unusual for a 408bhp 993TT to blow a front diff.
