Head of Q latest to leave Aston

Sad to see Simon Lane post on Instagram that yesterday was his last day at Aston Martin as head of Q. He was the perfect person for that role, just seems that like many others (Gavin Kershaw, Miles Nurnberger) they don’t want to work there anymore.
Was 100% his decision. Soon it’ll just be Moers rattling around the place by himself.

Wow, simon didn't stay more than a couple of years right? Mind you if he was the one driving the victor then any special limited edition after something like that has to be a bit of a boring week at work !
As for the cfo - wonder if he knows something is coming down the road and doesn't want to be associated with it.

Are you possibly thinking about yet another repeat of the tried and tested, Aston Martin business model?
Most businesses try to have more money coming in than going out, but Aston Martin have succeeded for 108 years, by doing it the other way around. Remarkable!

As a newbie to the fold I'm disappointed that Aston seems to be heading towards supercars and abandoning vaguely sensible GTs. There are plenty of supercars already.
I saw Simons post on Instagram too. He used to post on here quite often when he was the DP at AM Cambridge but after he got the job at Q he disappeared. I guess his profile in the company had risen to such an extent that he either felt he shouldn’t continue to contribute, or he was prevented from doing so. I always liked reading what he had to say. He was very informative and knowledgeable and I think his departure is a sad loss for AM. If you’re reading this Simon, good luck for the future with whatever you have chosen to do, and hopefully we will see you posting back on here again soon.

Someone has tried exactly that, but it appears they might have failed your, 'lots of relevant knowledge' requirement.
The new V8 sports car was proudly displayed (later admitted they did not even build it themselves) at Goodwood, about 4 years ago.
Took many deposits from excited customers. Since then, just an occasional email to the deposit holders, reassuring them that production will commence in ............ brrrrrrrrr.

Ah if you mean the new Griffith, yes indeed.
