I’m about to watch the Chelsea match and it seems it’s only available through Amazon
I’ve got a UHD tv, using a sky Q box to access the Amazon app, but the picture quality is pretty poor!
Is that just the way it is when streaming live sport, or are there settings I should be changing?

I find the picture and sound quality infuriatingly variable

It’s not unbearable, but I’d call it SD at best, not even HD let alone UHD.

Watching on an Android TV here (Liverpool game) and the quality's top notch.

Watched the Liverpool game on mine via Sky Q and the app and the quality was great just as good as Sky Sports HD.
I'm just using a 30 day free trial to watch these games as well so it's the basic Prime.

I watched the build up through Prime on SkyQ but the quality was awful. Switched to the Prime app on my Sony TV and it was HD quality all the way through.

If you have a recognised brand of 4K (UHD) TV, there will be (should be) the Amazon Prime app installed on it.
Use that.

I've assumed you have half decent broadband.
