Has anyone had the ppf removed from their car and if so who did you use and how pleased were you? Not something I fancy doing myself and a car I am collecting has the full ppf fitted.
Ideally I'd like to remove the film from the roof and doors then replace the bonnet film. Perhaps even professionally clean the remaining film.
Located just North West of London.
I'm afraid I cannot obtain information on who and when the film was originally applied.
Any advice or experience would be great to hear.

Can I ask why you wanted to remove it?
In my job as a detailer I always use steam to remove old PPF, a hairdryer or heat gun generate too much heat and can separate the glue from the film leaving you with the glue residue to deal with. You don’t get that with steam.
Ideally you’d want to machine polish the existing film of its being left in place and once done panel wiped and then ceramic coated over the film.
My last two cars have been fully PPF’ed and they’re incredibly easy to maintain and I’d only remove film if it was damaged and then replace with new.

Thanks Boyd, the film is showing signs of swirls and some light pock marks in front of the rear wheels, but it’s not lifting anywhere, looks a really good orig install
I’d been advised you can’t polish ppf, maybe I need to speak to more detailers
I’d just like a better finish on the car so if it can be left on that would be fantastic
Where are you based?
