The annual gift of a beautiful Christmas Tree from Norway has arrived and been erected in Trafalgar Square to enrich the lives of all who see it.

However, not everybody is enamoured by the condition of this year's tree, suggesting that the rest of it might turn up on another lorry.

Saw the lights being switched on last night on the news.

Woeful at best.

People complain about it every year. It’s not a new thing. If you Google it, you will find news articles from years ago saying the exact same thing.

Often, they add extra branches and greenery to fill it out a bit, after it’s been erected.

Probably not easy transporting it all that way, which might explain it?

Years ago I had planned to chop down a conifer & promised it to a friend as a Xmas tree.

After I chopped it out from between its neighbouring trees it finished up looking similar to the Trafalgar tree; I bought my friend a better one rather than turn up with something substandard.

We are actually at war with Norway but it's a MSM conspiracy to not report it.

Well it certainly could do with a Spruce up.

Trunk call? We'd want to get to the root of the problem.

Disappointing trees seem to be the thing this year. The one in our town centre is embarrassing, even the guys that put the lights on it said they wished they had been doing it at night with masks covering their faces!

Well I suppose it's something, what do we get each year from France, Holland
and Belgium for saving their asses during WW2 ?

One scrawny tree per annum out of the millions of trees in Norway is at least a gesture.

True.

It does look like they used Hermes to deliver it though.
