Show me your audio amp installs

Greetings PH'ers
As I am trying to clear out my garage, I came across a box of Focal speakers I was meant to fit in the rear of my car probably about a year ago. Obviously that meant I *had* to drop everything and fit them. Having finally got around to taking a jigsaw to the vent holes, I now need to consider how I am going to mount the amplifier, and also the easiest way to run cables back to the head unit and fusebox. My first approach was going to be following the existing rear body loom and up through the usual places, but curious if anybody has any easier approaches.
Most importantly though, how have you mounted your amps!
Cue the "you don't need a radio in a V8" crowd who don't drive their TVRs more than 2,000 miles a year
The dimensions of mine are such that I doubt it will fit above the fuel tank. I haven't measured, just looked at the space and thought "it'll not fit there in a month of Sundays". Dimensions (LxHxl): 340x50x235mm

Curious, what is making you move the amp? I have just managed to go back on my words and my Focal Auditor *just* fits - there is still a bit of give in the fuel tank insulation. There's probably an awful lot of trust I am putting into the rain seal, though fortunately all of the openings are on the back side of the amplifier. Unfortunately the cavity is not big enough to get it in further and ultimately behind the trim cover unless I want to take the fuel tank out again.
Thoughts?
