Fraudulent or legit?

That's nearly as dodgy as the email I got from HMRC recently that informed my I'd be found guilty of "double dealing".
I guess it sounded cool somewhere and also has legal effect, as for your FB ad, UPS with cash, it will be the UPS guys been abducted by aliens and can we have your bank account, address, name bank account, Lagos here I come!

It's a scam. if you reply they will send a fake UPS email and ask you to pay 'UPS' upfront for money to cover insurance which they will reimburse in cash when the item is collected. In reality you are paying it into their account (not UPS). Usually the insurance is £100+.
Thank you. Wife has told them to do one. JapanRed said:
Wife is advertising our old dining table on FB marketplace and has received the following response. Is this likely fraud? Will UPS accept cash in transit (£200)?
Are they likely to turn up with fake bank notes in an envelope or is it all above board?

UPS don't even allow cash to be delivered in packages let alone the driver giving you ££. It's a scam 100%Are they likely to turn up with fake bank notes in an envelope or is it all above board?

He'll say, "Yes." So you take the money and hand him a clear, sealed package containing tea leaves in a shopping bag. He'll look in and think he's now in something deeper than he wants to be and will probably run away without checking if it's Typhoo or Tetley.

Derby’s the red flag for me
But seriously, a call to UPs would provide details on whether they do this or not but I’d be surprised if they do. But then no cash = no collection so where’s the scam?
I can assure you we do not do this. Why would any courier give money for an item on behalf of the customer?
