Is the proposed olympic mtb route in Bracknell?

There was talk about it being Epping Forest, I presume this was ages ago and now changed?
Bracknell would make for a good course, lots of good singletrack round there and the pine forests offer some excellant riding.

God I hope not, thats an awful venue. Raced there a couple of times and it's a very boring course. Not sure how you could make an Olympic/world course there!!

I thought I'd remembered something about some maps of the proposed course in MBUK. Did I dream it?

It's early, what's MTB? The only MTB I know is Motor Torpedo Boat?

If it is it'd make a great Olympic event

Edited to add, coffee's kicked in, it's Mountain Bike......hang on. Mountain bikes in Bracknell???!!!???? Wales & Scotland maybe, but Berkshire.!

If you go to the London Olympics site, there's an interactive map that shows where all events are propsed to be held.

And it says Weald Park.

I've just checked the website and yes its at Weald Park.
