Can anyone recommend a decent wedding DJ (ideally based in/around Surrey).
I've been looking around recently, and all I seem to find are slightly sad-sounding middle-aged blokes with a couple of moth-eaten traffic lights, spangly waistcoat and a dusty disco ball who seem to provide the same bland, unimaginative disco-by-numbers*
I've put a playlist together (mostly 90s indie/pop/house), so I'd like to be able to provide MP3s, rather than rely on their own choices.

Don't know if he will go as far as you need, but we had him for our wedding a month ago and he was bloody excellent. Played exactly what we told him to, kept his mouth shut, smart, professional, all in all excellent.
Edit - he will accept playlists, "don't play" lists and will use your actual media if he doesn't have the tracks himself (in our case, he had 100% of what we selected already)
Also, his website does state that he will travel to your area.

I've been DJing for 5 years off and on, purely for fun and pocket money rather than as anything approaching a full-time job. I've had residencies in bars/clubs in Cambridge, Plymouth and London, mainly playing to a mid-20's audience - and have done weddings, office parties, etc, too.
Definitely not into microphone antics or "Brown Eyed Girl" - I play a mix of beats, breaks, hiphop, dance and indie. Try to avoid playing cheese, though could bend the rules a little (but not all night!).
Also happy to incorporate your own suggestions, MP3's etc. I'm a young prof, well turned out, polite etc (so not *too* out of place at a wedding reception!) based in London but happy to travel.
Let me know if you'd be interested in having a chat. I don't have any of my own lights etc - but happy to turn up with a mixer and an amp and can promise it'll be a successful night.
